Here is an even more interesting trade. If the Jacksonville Jaguars are not willing to move Andrew Norwell in a deal, Ryan Pace should next be calling the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons, like the New York Giants, are also winless. Partly due to some horrible fourth-quarter choke jobs. It seems to me this team needs to start to rebuild as it has not been relevant for a few years now. Rumors are that Dan Quinn is likely getting fired unless some magical turnaround happens.

The Chicago Bears should inquire about Alex Mack. Mack is in the last year of his contract with the Falcons. With the team faltering a fifth-round pick should be more than adequate for a player who might not re-sign in 2021 anyway. Why would the Bears trade for a center?

Well, with James Daniels out for the year and the Bears having to be creative when it comes to solving 2020 problems, trading for Mack could be a unique blessing. Cody Whitehair could shift to left guard as Mack steps in at center. I know, I know, but we saw something like this last year when the team swapped Daniels and Whitehair. This is different. Mack is a proven veteran who has earned six Pro Bowl nods in his career.

If things work out, Mack could be extended to a small contract by the Bears, Whitehair could stay at left guard and Daniels could shift to right guard in 2021 when Ifedi becomes a free agent.
