I am starting to get wild and crazy with my trade packages. Maybe too wild, but this trade makes sense for both sides. Hear me out. No one wants to get rid of Allen Robinson. Robinson deserves to be paid. I’d gladly give him the $18 million dollars he reportedly (rumored) wants per season. The problem, if the Chicago Bears and Robinson cannot come to a contract extension, that leaves two scenarios in 2021.

The team can franchise tag him now as it seems Mitchell Trubisky will not be deserved of the tag. The team could let him walk. I guess in a third scenario the team could tag him and then come to a new contract agreement before the 2021 season starts. If Ryan Pace knows that Robinson will not be back in 2021, then he should try to recuperate something for him.

Players on injured-reserve are able to be traded. Brandon Scherff is on injured reserve but is expected to be back in a few weeks with an MCL sprain. The team can suffer through Alex Bars playing for James Daniels for a few weeks while Scherff gets healthy. Adding Terry McLaurin would help with the blow of losing Robinson.

Not sure Washington would be willing to make a move like this, but Scherff is on IR and only a one-year deal. Washington has the money to pay Robinson the money he wants too. I like McLaurin, but Robinson is an upgrade. Throwing in the fourth-round pick could be enough to entice a blockbuster move like this. The Chicago Bears offense could be run similar to Kansas City with Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman and Javon Wims would be the bigger target.
