Would the Chicago Bears trading for Sam Darnold make sense?

Potential Trades
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, he talked to a few general managers and executives around the league discussing Sam Darnold’s value for a trade. All of them essentially agreed Darnold will not go for a first-round pick. One GM specifically said that he would go for at the most a second-round pick or a fourth-round pick depending on how he does this season.
"“The high-water mark would be a [second-round pick] for him,” one GM said this weekend. “I think they could get a [fourth-round pick] for him, but if he finished positive for him, they might get a 2 for him. In college, he was a turnover machine. In the NFL, he has been a turnover machine. I just don’t think he has the credentials to go for a 1.”"
If Darnold keeps performing how he is doing at the moment, the Bears could get him for possibly a fifth-round pick. With durability, turnovers, and just bad football, he could come very cheap if he keeps performing the way he is. Currently, the Bears have plenty of compensatory picks coming their way but don’t have a fourth or a seventh-round pick. Plus, every team knows the Jets will take Trevor Lawerence if given the chance, so that lowers Darnold’s value even more.
Additionally, the Bears could offload players to the Jets who need help at a lot of positions. The Jets are essentially weak at every position on both sides of the ball.
