5 Players you probably forgot played for the Chicago Bears
By Cody Young
The Chicago Bears is a historic franchise, but what about the players we forgot?
Everyone loves to look back on their favorite sports memories, whether it be specific teams, moments, or players. We can all be suckers for nostalgia at certain points when looking back on your favorite teams. While looking back on my time as a Chicago Bears fan, I can think of many moments and players who stand out.
The Chicago Bears have been around since the birth of the NFL, and over that time the team has amassed their fair share of historically great players. Just walk into the NFL Hall of Fame and you will find yourself staring at the most players inducted by a single team. We all have fond memories of guys like Brian Urlacher, Devin Hester, and Matt Forte. For those older fans, Walter Payton, Gale Sayers and Dick Butkus probably come to mind.
However, what about those players who did not live up to those standards? Maybe there was a journeyman who came through for a year or two who did not work out in Chicago but still has an NFL legacy. Every team has a few rookies who were drafted early in hopes to turn the team around but did not pan out. So many players come and go, especially for a historic franchise like the Chicago Bears, that people may have forgotten about some of them over the years.
Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to in this article because we all love a little bit of nostalgia once in a while right? So let’s start off with the number five player.
