Which Chicago Bears players should you play this week in fantasy football?

With Week 6 almost set to kick off on Sunday, a good question for fantasy football players is which Chicago Bears players to stick in your starting lineup this week? There are a number of good Start’Em options this week, as well as some players you might not want to put in your lineup. Here is my Start’Em, Sit’Em for the Bears this week.

Start’Em: Allen Robinson

The Panthers have allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers, per Roto Baller. Yet, they have allowed a plethora of points to number one receivers this year. Their lack of depth at cornerback can mean that Allen Robinson could have a big day.

Robinson has put up great numbers since his slow start in Weeks 1 and 2. In PPR leagues he has put up 19 or more points in three weeks straight and is projected 17.77 this week. He is a must-start at either wide receiver spot.

Sit’Em: Anthony Miller

Many expected to see a breakout season from Anthony Miller this year. Yet, he has been as inconsistent as they come. He has had only two games over ten points in PPR leagues. His role has been decreased in this offense in favor of Darnell Mooney, who now sits at WR2 on the Bears depth chart. With the way the Panthers secondary has been playing, a third-string wide receiver is not one to start on your fantasy team, especially one as inconsistent as Anthony Miller.

Start’Em: David Montgomery

Fantasy owners who have David Montgomery on their team have mixed feelings about him. He has been a non-factor in the running game this year, as he has yet to eclipse 100 yards on the ground. Also, he has only scored two touchdowns. Yet, he has been a real factor in the passing game, especially in Week 5.

He recorded seven catches for 30 yards against the Buccaneers, which might not sound that great, but in PPR it is very good. Montgomery is set to have a big day against the Panthers, who are last in the league in run defense. Nick Foles will most likely be targeting him out of the backfield a lot too, as he has become the main pass-catching option, even with Cordarrelle Patterson. David Montgomery is a must-start this week.

Sit’Em: Nick Foles

This might be a toss-up, considering most owners would not start any Bears quarterback, but with injuries and bye weeks upon us, anything is possible. For those wondering if Foles is a start this week, I recommend sitting him.

He has yet to throw over 300 yards in a game, and he only has one touchdown pass in each of his starts this year. He has seen good defenses over the last two games, but this should be a ground and pound game for the Bears. Foles would not be an ideal start at quarterback this week.

Start’Em: Jimmy Graham

He might not be the best fit at your TE1 position, but a solid TE2 or flex option would be Jimmy Graham. He has become a big part of this offense, and one of the best red-zone threats in the NFL. He is second in the league for touchdowns for tight ends and has scored a touchdown in three of the teams’ five games so far.

He has seen a steady diet of targets from Nick Foles and could see more this week against the Panthers. Granted, the Panthers have only allowed one touchdown to tight ends all year, but with the volume of red-zone targets Graham gets, he still has a good outlook for this week. Graham could be a great flex or second tight end option this week.

Sit’Em: Bears defense/special teams

Unfortunately, the Bears have not been the best defense in terms of fantasy points. Their lack of takeaways and no defensive touchdowns have resulted in a mediocre season in terms of fantasy. The Panthers have been good at moving the ball on teams this year, and have found a nice balanced attack with Mike Davis filling in nicely for the injured Christian McCaffrey.

The Bears should have a good day defensively, but their fantasy outlook does not look as great. They only scored over ten one game, against the Giants in Week 2. Bears defense and special teams are not the best starts this week.

dark. Next. Chicago Bears offense must attack this area

The Chicago Bears are usually somewhat inconsistent in terms of fantasy output. Names like Allen Robinson and David Montgomery are usually must starts every week, even if they do not always put up elite numbers. The Bears offense will look to have a big game this week, and some of these players should put up some great numbers.
