Chicago Bears: 4 Best moves Ryan Pace made this offseason

Nick Foles, Quarterback
A move that was highly criticized by not only Bears’ fans, but national media as well, was the Bears trade for Nick Foles. The Bears traded away a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft to get Nick Foles. Thankfully, they didn’t take on the huge contract he earned from the Jaguars, but they are paying him a decent amount.
People hated this move because the Bears in hindsight “could have waited” for quarterbacks like Andy Dalton and Cam Newton to get cut and to sign them cheap, but Foles was the right pick for the job. His knowledge of the offensive scheme and his ability to run an offense was crucial with the shortened-offseason and no preseason.
Foles stepped in against the Atlanta Falcons and charged the Bears back to a huge win. He additionally looked very solid against a good Tampa Bay Buccaneers team and the Carolina Panthers. He struggled in his first start against the Indianapolis Colts but bounced back and now the Bears are 5-1.
With virtually no run game, Foles has had to carry this offense against some solid teams, and he has done so so far.
