Jimmy Graham, Tight End

It has been said a lot how horrid the Bears’ tight end group in 2019 was. Not a single tight end topped 100 receiving yards that season. Through six games, Jimmy Graham already has 203 yards and four touchdowns on 22 receptions. Graham has single-handedly improved this Bears’ poor red zone offense by catching all four of his touchdowns in the red zone.

After failing in Green Bay, the five-time Pro Bowl tight end was released. In his two seasons there, Graham only caught five total touchdowns and just over 1,000 receiving yards. People said if he failed with Aaron Rodgers, he must be washed.

That is clearly not the case. Graham is on pace for 96 targets catching 59 passes for 541 yards and 11 touchdowns. That doesn’t sound like a “washed” tight end to me. Plus, his connection with Nick Foles will only improve as the year goes on.

Final Thoughts:

Ryan Pace already has turned this Bears team around from their disappointing 8-8 season in 2019. With an improved offense and defense, this team has a chance to make a great run in the playoffs.
