This one is surprising, but the Chicago Bears should steal Justin Jefferson
I know what you are thinking. Why wouldn’t you take Dalvin Cook? I will admit that Cook is easily the most explosive player on the Vikings offense. The problem with Cook is his health — that and he plays the least important position on offense. Former running backs may disagree, but the running back position is the most replaceable position in the NFL — especially on offense.
I know I said I could live with Anthony Miller in this offense, but Justin Jefferson would be an upgrade. As much as I wanted Miller to find consistency this season, he has proven once again that he can be nearly elite one minute and a mental-case the next. This was supposed to be the season he made the leap, but things have not developed enough. In fact, I think Anthony Miller could be a trade candidate for the Bears as we head into the trade deadline.
Justin Jefferson has been great as a rookie. He was great at LSU in college and was a first-round draft pick this year by the Vikings. Even with the Vikings looking horrible this season, Jefferson has been a bright spot. In six games, Jefferson has three 100-plus receiving games. He already has 537 yards receiving on the year. He also has three touchdowns this season. Pairing him opposite Allen Robinson with Darnell Mooney as the third option, this receiving corps would look elite.
Final Thoughts:
This was just a fun exercise to think about. I would absolutely love to see these three players in a Chicago Bears uniform this season. If you were in charge of this NFC North theft, who would you choose to steal from each divisional opponent?
