Round 2, Pick No. 61

61. player. 852. OT. Minnesota. DanielFaalele. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

As the Big Ten starts their football games on October 24, we haven’t seen Daniel Faalele yet this season. Faalele could easily build his draft stock after an impressive 2019 season for Minnesota and his physical traits are very uncommon. At 6’9″ weighing 400 lbs, Faalele can physically outmatch every player in college and likely the NFL too.

Like Nasirildeen, Faalele may be huge, but his athletic ability isn’t taken away by it. Faalele has very good mobility and great hips to be able to move as a tackle at the next level. He definitely needs more experience before taking over at the next level for the NFL, but his athletic ability and physical traits are unmatched.

Faalele before coming to the United States lived in Australia where he excelled in Rugby. He didn’t start playing football until high school where he was recruited to play football due to his freakish size and athletic ability.

He can play both right and left tackle which fairs perfectly for this current offensive line in Chicago. Both Bobby Massie and Charles Leno aren’t worth bragging about, so Faalele can sit behind both of them next season and be the next man up at both positions ready to take over for who does the worst of the two.
