Chicago Bears vs Rams: 5 Keys to a victory in Week 7
Chicago Bears fans should focus on these five things tonight vs the Rams
One of the biggest differences between the Chicago Bears and the Rams team is how their quarterbacks deal with pass-rush pressure. Watching Nick Foles play for the Bears, it has become clear why he gets injured so often. The man is fearless. He will wait until the last second to deliver a pass knowing he is going to get his teeth rattled the second he releases the ball. Then you contrast this to Jared Goff.
Goff is smart, accurate and appears to be a good guy. However, his fatal flaw is under pressure he crumbles. I am not a believer in L.A. teams because I believe they are what I call “LA soft”. The indulgent lifestyle of SoCal inspired by Hollywood, does not, as a rule, breed team-oriented gritty athletes.
There are obviously exceptions to this. Goff himself seems like a team type of guy but gritty not so much. I take no pleasure in writing this but Jared Goff is LA Soft. Maybe if Goff didn’t play in L.A. he might develop more toughness.
This does not mean the Chicago Bears can sleep on the Rams. When these two teams meet, the matchup is usually very low-scoring. I am not sure what the over/under is on the game, but my guess is the under will be in play. If the Bears are going to come out of this game with a victory, then the team must focus on these five key areas.
