Its time for the Chicago Bears to stop the run

On the other side of the ball defense travels. I fully expect another quality bend but don’t break type game from the Bears in Los Angeles. Pagano’s most important decision is how to make life very uncomfortable for Jared Goff.

The first step to this is to get better at stopping the run than his team has to date this season. I believe the Bears run defense has improved as their conditioning has improved so their run defense may not be as soft as many expect it to be. Roquan Smith is having his best year and Danny Trevathan is not quite the liability he was early in the season. It’s possible the Bears run defense could surprise in this game. If it does, the Bears will have the Rams right where they want them.

The Chicago Bears defensive coordinator, Chuck Pagano, had a great game plan and made many on-point play calls against the Panthers and Teddy Bridgwater last Sunday. Chuck created pressure using lots of stunts mixed with a few five-man rushes to take Bridgewater way out of his comfort zone. The good news for the Bears is that the Panthers quarterback is more mobile than Goff.
