2. Quarterback

When the Chicago Bears benched their starting quarterback despite being 2-0 fans should have known that this would be a roller-coaster season. The fact of the matter is that the Bears are in a position that no team in the NFL wants to be in.

They are truly living the old saying of having two quarterbacks meaning that they have none. Mitch Trubisky is athletic and has a big arm. He can make plays out of nowhere. However, he consistently makes the wrong reads, struggles with protections, and panics under pressure.

Nick Foles is calm and cool and has won a Super Bowl. However, he is limited athletically and has a lot of game manager in him.

You can make the case for both and can argue back and forth all day. When Foles is in fans call for Trubisky and when Trubisky is back in, Foles will get calls once again. The fact of the matter is that neither is the answer.

The Bears only change is to go back to what they already deemed not good enough. Going back to Trubisky could provide a spark, but it would likely only provide false hope for another week or two. Still, what does sticking with Foles mean?

Small changes can come, but this is a tough spot to be in for the Chicago Bears, and one that will have to be addressed in the offseason.
