1. Offensive Line

This was a huge issue last season. The Bears went out and added a right tackle who was a bust with the hopes of moving him to right guard. They hardly did anything else. To be fair, Germain Ifedi is not the biggest issue. He certainly is not a solution, though.

Beyond that, Cody Whitehair has taken a step back, they have two tackles that are average on their best days, and when James Daniels went down, any hope of progress on the line was thrown away.

James Daniels benefited greatly from playing in the scheme that Juan Castillo has laid out. However, his injury meant Rashaad Coward, who derailed the 2019 line was going to come in to play a position he has never played before. The results have been as expected.

The fact of the matter is that the Bears could see Nagy eventually let someone else call plays. Mitch Trubisky could start again this year. Even Nick Foles can continue to gel with Nagy, and the two will both grow together.

There is nothing the Bears can do. Sure, they can sign Quinton Spain, a player who was just released because he was not going to see the field for the Buffalo Bills. That is not the almighty savior of the line.

Next. Bears must fix this issue. dark

They need a left guard short term but need anything but LG, and center moving forward. The play calling is impacted by the line, and the quarterback struggles because of the line. Neither has been great, but the huge issues come back to the offensive line.
