This is a longshot, but Dak Prescott in a Chicago Bears uniform would be nice

When it comes to free agency in 2021, the quarterback names are not quite as big as they were in 2020. Names mean little though as many of those quarterbacks have struggled with their new teams. One name that could be seen floating around come the opening of free agency is once again Dak Prescott. If Nick Foles is not the answer, maybe the Bears turn to a free agent. Maybe they choose to do this anyway similarly to how they approached the 2020 season.

Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys could not come to a contract extension heading into 2020. Instead, the team had to use the franchise tag. Now, Prescott finds his season over as he landed on injured reserve with an ankle injury. Could the injury be the cause of his departure in Dallas? His backup, Andy Dalton (one of the aforementioned free agent quarterbacks) did not perform well in his first start as a Cowboy, but could Jerry Jones cut bait with Prescott?

Honestly, if Jones pushes Prescott out the door in Dallas, I would be calling Prescott’s agent immediately. Prescott is not a top-five quarterback in my opinion, but he is definitely somewhere between five and 10. Imagining him on the Bears roster already has my mouth salivating. Prescott will not be cheap, but he’d be a huge upgrade for the Chicago Bears right now. Pace would have to find a way to make the numbers work, but should at least make the attempt.
