Nine quarterbacks who could be the Chicago Bears starter in 2021
One hot name in college football right now is Kyle Trask
If the Chicago Bears decide to skip the first round when it comes to a quarterback, there are a few options that should be available on Day 2. One of those options (as of now anyway) is Kyle Trask. Trask is having a great 2020 season. His 2019 season was not bad either.
In 2019, Trask threw for 2,941 yards, 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions. The touchdown to interception ratio is great. The average yards-per-game on the other hand is only 245. That is not bad, but also not great. The good news is that in 2020, Trask has already thrown for 996 yards in only three games. For you non-math majors, that’s a 332 yards-per-game average. Now add in his 14 touchdowns to only one interception and you have a guy who might jump in the first round.
My fear here is that Trask is having too good of a season. I, like most friends, want to see the Chicago Bears find a new starting tackle in the first round. However, if Trask keeps playing like this, then he might not be available when the Bears pick in the second round.
