Nine quarterbacks who could be the Chicago Bears starter in 2021
The newest name being talked about for the 2021 NFL Draft is Zach Wilson
Another hot name, especially among Chicago Bears twitter, is Zach Wilson. Wilson plays at BYU and is having a very solid 2020 season. Some are comparing his season to the likes of Joe Burrow. I am not going to compare him to Burrow as I do not think he will reach the same heights, but he has taken a big step this season and could be a solid late second or third-round pick.
In 2019, Wilson threw for 2,384 yards in nine games. That’s a 265 yards-per-game average. That was better than Trask’s 2019 season. The problem though is that he only threw 11 touchdowns to go along with nine interceptions. Yikes.
Just like Trask, Wilson has improved his game in 2020. He is now averaging 321 yards-per-game and his yards-per-attempt jumped from 7.5 to 12 per attempt. The even better news is how he has improved in his touchdown to interception ratio. In six games, Wilson has thrown 16 touchdowns and only one interception. His deep ball has looked fantastic, which is something the Chicago Bears are desperate for right now. He’s a name to remember on Draft Day.
