The Bears’ offensive line needs help, and that is apparent. Their line has been gashed especially with starting left guard James Daniels out. Both offensive tackles have been average at best and Cody Whitehair has been slightly above average.

Adding Alex Mack to this team would instantly improve the line greatly. Having a veteran offensive lineman at center and being the leader for this group would help everyone out. He is in the last year of his contract with the Atlanta Falcons, so he could come cheap to the Bears as a one-year rental at center for the team. This move would allow Whitehair to take over at left guard with Daniels out.

The value surrounding Mack is a major question mark. Sure, he is an elite center, but he is already 34 years old and is in the last year of his contract. I could see his value being a fourth-round pick, but the Bears do not have one this season. I could also see him going for a fifth and a seventh to replace this.
