Brian Urlacher goes hand in hand with scary Chicago Bears players

Number 2: Brian Urlacher

There was no way I could make this list and leave off the great Brian Urlacher. The man was the definition of most feared at his position for a long time in the NFL. Urlacher played 13 seasons, all of which were with the Bears.

From the time he was drafted in 2000 to when he retired in 2012 he was a leader of the defense and was one of the best players of his era. When you think of the early 2000s linebackers, Brian Urlacher and Ray Lewis, another scary player, are the first names people will think of.

Urlacher truly made the Bears the “monsters of the midway” in his prime. He was the leader of some of the best defenses in recent memory and was an electric player who could do it all. Brian possessed speed, strength, agility, and to top it all off, had amazing instincts for the game.

In his 13 years, Urlacher was defensive rookie of the year, an eight-time Pro-Bowler, four-time All-Pro, 2005 defensive player of the year, and made the 2000s All-Decade team. Urlacher was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018 and was one of the best to ever lace them up for Chicago.
