The Chicago Bears can find a Tarik Cohen replacement in Duke Johnson

The Chicago Bears have yet to activate Lamar Miller to the active roster. Even if they do, Miller is not really a replacement for Tarik Cohen. Miller has the ability to be a pass-catcher out of the backfield, but not in the way Cohen played for this team.

What if the Chicago Bears and Ryan Pace looked to bring in one of Miller’s old teammates instead? No offense to Ryan Nall, but he has not been able to help this team on game day. A running back room of David Montgomery, Lamar Miller and Duke Johnson would look fantastic.

Johnson has only played on 22 percent of the Texans offensive snaps this season. Clearly, they are not looking to use him in this offense. That said, Johnson is a receiving back that could take on the Cohen role. He has had seasons of 61, 53 and 74 catches. He would make the perfect complement to Montgomery and Miller. Not to mention, the capital needed to trade for Johnson should not be any more than a sixth-round pick. The Chicago Bears have two of those.
