Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears must address the defensive line too

The other glaring need on this team is on the defensive line. The Bears have great talent, but the loss of Eddie Goldman has been on display every week. The Bears have gone from one of the better run-stopping teams to being one of the worst. We just watched Alvin Kamara torch the Bears all game in Week 8. This seems to occur every week, with teams running right up the gut of this defense.

Ryan Pace should seriously consider making a move for an experienced nose tackle to eat up those inside run plays Again, there are plenty of names out there that could be brought in. Names like Davon Godchaux, Taven Bryan, Trent Murphy, and Dalvin Tomlinson are all quality players that consistently stop the run well.

The most ideal would be Tomlinson, who is young and cheap, and could be brought over potentially in a package with Kevin Zeitler. Honestly, this could be an ideal move for the Bears, who would be addressing their top two needs to get ready for a playoff push.

Tomlinson is an above-average run stopper and does his work eating up blocks for pass rushers as well, which could help Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn. This would also give the Bears so much talent on the line, and Chuck Pagano could get creative with how he used his guys. Giving up a mid-round pick this year and next year could definitely be worth it to fill in the main holes on this team.

Next. Three trade targets with the Giants. dark

There are so many things this team needs to change in order to get to the playoffs, but with the trade deadline here and the situation the team is in, they need to change the play-caller to get the offense going and make some moves to improve both lines.
