Chicago Bears: 4 Players Ryan Pace could sell at trade deadline
As great as he is, Allen Robinson would be the first to go
The Chicago Bears also seem to refuse to sign Allen Robinson to a long-term extension. Instead, the wide receiver has had to share his frustrations through cryptic social media posts and more. Those public frustrations have not been met with dollar signs by the Bears organization. Instead, Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy continue to try and dissolve the situation. Bears fans are not buying it and I doubt Robinson is either.
If I were planning on selling off some assets because I knew the 2020 season was essentially over, Allen Robinson would be one of my first choices. Robinson is on the final year of his contract and with contract negotiations stagnant, him staying in Chicago in 2021 without a franchise tag seems slim. Why not get what you can for him? Plus, he would bring in great draft capital.
If the Chicago Bears were to offer Robinson up in a trade, he would likely net a second-round pick and another, later-round pick for 2021. Robinson has been very good, but if he were to be gone, would the offense look any worse? That is hard to imagine seeing this offense is a bottom-five offense in the league.
