The Chicago Bears are imposters

Just because it’s the title of the slide doesn’t mean I truly believe it. However, if there was a scale, the Chicago Bears would be leaning heavily toward imposters right about now.

After an electrifying 5-1 start, even the doubters were starting to buy into this team as a contender in the NFC. It wasn’t pretty, but the Bears were notching a victory almost every week against teams that looked good. But that game to a big halt against the LA Rams, arguably the Bears first real threatening opponent.

This would be the start of the two-game skid that we are currently watching. With games against the Titans, Vikings, and Packers coming up, let’s hope this doesn’t become a trend. Not that I’m keeping track, but for those who are, here’s a nice little statistic: Mitchell Trubisky is 2-0 with a 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions while Nick Foles is 3-3 with 6 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.

I’m not saying Trubisky would necessarily be better, but this team has to figure out how to get some production out of the quarterback position before it’s too late. At the end of the day, Chicago is 5-3 with a solid chance of making an NFC North title run. The Bears might look like imposters now, but this season isn’t over.
