Three free agents Chicago Bears need to consider after trade deadline

With Mitch Trubisky sidelined, the Chicago Bear should add Kyle Sloter
With the recent injury to Mitchell Trubisky, the Bears should not be relying on just Tyler Bray to back up the oft-injured Nick Foles. They need to bring in another quarterback to aid in case Foles goes down.
There aren’t a lot of good quarterbacks available right now as teams are stacking quarterbacks on their practice squads for COVID. The Bears brought in both Kyle Sloter and Jake Rudock for tryouts this past week. Sloter originally tried out for the team this past summer.
Sloter has bounced around since entering the league in 2017, but he’s never been able to stick and hasn’t even taken a regular-season snap yet. His preseason stats though have been nothing short of spectacular. Sloter has completed 74% of his passes, thrown 11 touchdowns and one interception, and posted an impressive 119.8 passer rating. It’s just the preseason, but hey, it’s something!
With the Bears being an injury away from having Bray at the helm, they should definitely pursue Sloter to at least stash on the practice squad for the time being.
