Retool the offensive line

After getting their quarterback of the future, the Bears should only bring two offensive linemen back next year: James Daniels and Cody Whitehair. They shouldn’t bring back Germain Ifedi except maybe to be a backup. Both Charles Leno and Bobby Massie should be cut loose.

The 2021 NFL Draft is rumored to have an extremely deep offensive line class. The Bears should almost only draft lineman after taking Wilson in the first round. Besides that, they should add veteran tackles as well and maybe a veteran interior lineman too.

The Bears can only be as good as their offensive line is. Other positions don’t matter as much when your offensive line and scheme are very good. Just look at the San Francisco 49ers for example. Jimmy Garapollo isn’t the greatest quarterback and they rely on a running back who is paid pennies in Raheem Mostert. They made a Super Bowl with outstanding offensive line play, a great scheme, and elite defense.

Next. Three college quarterbacks the Chicago Bears should look to draft early. dark
