This Chicago Bears rushing attack continues to disappoint
Dud #2 The Rushing Attack
On Sunday against the Titans, the Chicago Bears ran the ball 20 times for 56 yards. They scored no touchdowns and only had a 2.8 average. Something needs to be addressed in the coming offseason.
We all know the offensive line is terrible and may very well be the worst in the league. Both tackles need to be replaced and they will still need another interior lineman depending on where they play Daniels and Whitehair.
Most people know that David Montgomery isn’t the issue but they also have no help behind him. Cordarrell Patterson does have the occasional big play but for the most is only good for a few yards a game.
A lot of these issues with the Chicago Bears come down to a couple of different things and the offensive line is absolutely one of them. Coming into this game the Bears had a pretty makeshift offensive line filled with late-round picks and castoffs from other teams.
It’s been said over and over but they need to shake up the line in the offseason. They don’t have a lot of free cap space but the Bears could free up many by cutting Bobby Massie and Charles Leno. This is something I feel the Bears should absolutely consider.
