Round 3, Pick No. 82

Scouting Report. OT. Virginia Tech. Pick Analysis. ChristianDarrisaw. 82. player. 847

As originally stated, one bonus to the 2021 NFL draft class is its great depth at the offensive line positions. The Bears can get a very talented offensive tackle in Christian Darrisaw all the way in the third round that may be ready to start from day one.

Darrisaw took over at left tackle as a freshman back in 2018 and has been a starter ever since. Last season, he impressed but still had concerns with overall strength. He has put most of those concerns to rest this season as he has skyrocketed up draft boards thus far.

The 6’5″ offensive tackle has everything you’d want in your left tackle in the NFL. He has the size, mobility, power, technique, athletic ability, and awareness to excel at the next level. He showcases his athletic ability by being quick off the ball and navigating in space well. He’s very good at pulling and getting out in the screen game to block in the open field.

Darrisaw is slowly surging up draft boards and may not be there in the third round, but anything can happen on draft day. If the Bears end up with this collection after draft day, I would grade this an A+ as they get three starting quality players to immediately impact their offense.
