The Chicago Bears have struggled, but these five players have been surprising

The Chicago Bears have gone from having one of the best records in football to now being in the middle of the pack. In fact, if the Bears lose to the Vikings on Monday night, they will barely be hanging on to second place in the NFC North. Fans are now split on what they want to see happen with this team.

Matt Nagy just announced he is giving up the play calling for the game versus the Vikings. Instead, Bill Lazor will be handling the play calls. This is bringing a little excitement back to the fan base after a three-game losing streak, but with a loss on Monday, many people want to see the Bears fall apart and either blow this thing up or at least get a relatively high draft pick for a new quarterback.

No fan should want to see their favorite team fail, but I can understand the frustration. I can relate to the anger and lack of trust when it comes to this organization. We have not seen them succeed often enough over the last 10 to 20 years. Mediocrity with a few highs and many lows is what we are used to, but when will that stop? Well, at least we have a few bright spots who have been surprising this season.

No. 5 – Brent Urban

Brent Urban, the 6″7 defensive-end, has been a key addition to the 2020 Bears defense. Despite only playing 18.5 snaps a game (27%), Urban has made his presence known. The veteran has 18 combined tackles, 8 solo tackles, and 1 sack. With a season-ending injury to fellow defensive end, Roy Robertson-Harris, Urban will be looked upon even more to make an impact.
