The Chicago Bears have come away looking great in recent mock draft

The Chicago Bears are looking to claw their way back into the playoff hunt tonight with a win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are trending upward while the Bears have been trending downward. This game will not be easy despite Matt Nagy being undefeated against the Vikings. A loss could honestly mean the end of the Bears 2020 season. Not really, but it might as well be if they lose.

No matter what happens this season, one thing is clear, the Chicago Bears must draft a quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft. The good thing is that this draft is looking very deep at the position. The problem is, that’s not the only need the Chicago Bears must address. This team is desperate to find playmakers who will find ways to boost this offense into relevance.

As of now, the Chicago Bears would be drafting 16th overall. This could easily change between now and the end of the year, but will they find themselves drafting closer to first overall or 32nd? Honestly, I think they wind up somewhere near the middle like they are now. This means that Trevor Lawrence is likely out of the question unless they trade the farm for him. Justin Fields is another one out of the picture.

In fact, if this four-round mock draft by Pro Football Network goes as predicted, the Chicago Bears and Ryan Pace (or some other general manager) will be out of the running on four quarterbacks. Yep, four quarterbacks are about to go in the first 12 picks. Not sure that really happens next year, but it just might. Will the Bears land a solid quarterback in the first round anyway? No, but the player and position they do take are pretty exciting.

We will only be looking at the first three rounds as the Chicago Bears currently do not have a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
