Liam Eichenberg, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

Height: 6′ 6″ | Weight: 305 | Class: RS – Sr.

Projection: Late Round 1 – Early Round 2

Notre Dame is known for building offensive linemen for the NFL. You can make an All-Pro offensive line with current NFL players that all player at Notre Dame. In recent years, they’ve had Quenton Nelson, Mike McGlinchey, Ronnie Stanley, Nick Martin, and Zach Martin. All five of these players have been stars at the next level and would be an elite starting five in the NFL. Liam Eichenberg is the next big Notre Dame linemen to make it now.

Now in his third season starting at left tackle for the Fighting Irish, Eichenberg is arguably the safest offensive linemen on this list (outside of maybe Humphrey). Last year, Eichenberg didn’t allow a sack, and his technique and ability are exactly why. He isn’t the athletic or physical freak that Mayfield or Cosmi are, but he is a solid athlete and he has the short burst of quickness needed to shut down good pass rushers.

Eichenberg would be an immediate starter for the Bears’ offensive line. He has an extremely high floor and is very NFL-ready. From being at Notre Dame, they generate great offensive linemen like crazy and he may be the next one to take it to the NFL.

Next. 5 Bears who must improve after bye week. dark

The offensive line is an immediate need for this Bears’ offense. That group as a whole has been ignored for far too long under Ryan Pace. They need to go after linemen early in the draft and should stack up on many linemen with their draft picks.
