2. Jaylon Johnson
This is similar to Smith in which expectations were high. When Johnson was drafted 50th overall, we loved the pick and admitted it was someone we had wanted all along. We knew that Johnson had the talent to get on the field right away and potentially make an impact.
However, even from an account with the highest expectations of Jaylon Johnson, it is nice to know that he is still exceeding them. After an injury in training camp took away his offseason prep, Johnson was thrown into the fire.
His first few weeks were some of his best. As teams got tape on him, he has had his ups and downs. However, Johnson is physical and makes plays on the ball. He is always good for a key pass breakup when needed.
When losing Prince Amukamara there were questions as to whether the Chicago Bears defense would hold up. With Jaylon Johnson across from Kyle Fuller, the defense has not just maintained, but Johnson has posed as an upgrade.
