The Chicago Bears must be more aggression on defense

The only issue with this defense is they can only do so much. Give this defense an average offense, and they make the Super Bowl. Sadly, Nagy can’t give them even a slightly below-average offense. He gives them a bottom-five offense.

The only thing is Pagano needs to be more aggressive with this defense. He needs to blitz heavily with their stars forcing quarterbacks to make mistakes. Pagano constantly rushes four and lets opposing quarterbacks have all the time in the world to throw the football. He needs to be aggressive so this defense can create turnovers to give all the help they can to this lackluster defense.

The Bears have one of the lowest blitz percentages in the league with a rate of 21.4%. All of the other teams lower than them have a below-average defense. Most of the top blitzing defenses are also some of the top defenses in the NFL. Coincidence?

These changes likely won’t happen and even if they do, the Bears likely won’t make the playoffs. But maybe these changes can spark something for the Bears. Maybe we can see them make the playoffs and make a run, but Nagy and Pace need to do everything they can to save their jobs.
