Lincoln Riley could be the guy to do what Nagy couldn’t for the Chicago Bears

Number 2: Lincoln Riley

The new trend in the NFL is to hire a younger offensive-minded coach, and some teams have found success through this route. The Packers, Rams, 49ers, and Cardinals all seem to have found their guy for the formidable future.

The Chicago Bears actually tried their hand at this as well. Though he may not look like it Matt Nagy is only 42 years old, they just picked the wrong guy. They could right this wrong by taking a chance on Lincoln Riley, who for the past two years has been another hot name as an NFL coach.

Riley, similar to Fitzgerald, does seem pretty comfortable at Oklahoma, and it may be hard to convince him to leave but for the right price, it certainly is possible. Riley has always had talent around him at OU but he was huge in the development of Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, both of whom won a Heisman.

Riley is truly thought of as one of the great offensive minds in all of football and being only 37 years old makes him a sought-after name. He’s the kind of guy who could be the head coach of the Chicago Bears for the next 10 years.
