Maybe the Chicago Bears just got the wrong Andy Reid disciple?

Number 1: Eric Bieniemy

Some Bears fans may be worried about another Andy Reid guy but like it or not, Eric Bieniemy will be the most sought after coach this upcoming offseason. There were teams that expressed interest in him after last season but he chose to stay another year with Kansas City and Andy Reid.

The Chiefs have had the best offense since 2018 and they are probably the most well-constructed team in the entire NFL. Looking across the league  I think you can make the argument that Kansas City is the most complete team. They have a decent enough defense that has their fair share of playmakers while having the most lethal offense with the best QB, and a top-three coach in the league.

Bieniemy has only been with KC for a couple of years but have has done a phenomenal job so far, along with Reid, in helping out that offense. If the Bears do find themselves with a coaching vacancy this year they would be foolish to not take a chance on the current Chiefs offensive coordinator.

I must say that I was somewhat of a Nagy sympathizer after his first few years. However, in 2020 I feel that Nagy has done nothing to help his case to be the coach going forward. That being said if the Bears do decide to move on, they still will need more than a new head coach.

This is a team with quite a few holes, especially on the offense. They need better offensive linemen, a new quarterback, and will most likely need a new wide receiver. On top of all of this, the defense will be a year older and there may be some guys leaving very soon.
