Make a playoff run

The Bears’ last playoff run didn’t exactly leave a nice taste in anybody’s mouth. Despite the fact that Chicago lost, they were in a position to reach the divisional round. The fact that the Chicago Bears fell just short of their full potential is what still stings to this day.

So why is any of this important? It’s important because Chicago still has some juice left on this team. Even though the Bears have dropped four-straight games, they’re within striking distance of a playoff spot. With four of their six remaining games being divisional opponents, the Bears can regain control of their division.

Seeing how this team has been playing lately, it seems unlikely, but not impossible. If Chicago makes a run at the playoffs, it has to start now. With an injury to Nick Foles, Mitchell Trubisky may be able to get back onto the field and give this team a spark. With all due respect to Foles, this Chicago Bears offense was undeniably worse with him under center.

And say what you want about Trubisky, but the Chicago Bears are a 2-0 team with him in control of the offense. Will Trubisky turn this team around? Probably not, but the Bears have been losing close and the young quarterback might improve the offense just enough to get the Bears back on track.
