4. Buster Skrine

Buster Skrine passed Taron Johnson as the slot cornerback to allow the most yards from that area. It is fair that teams will target Skrine when Jaylon Johnson and Kyle Fuller are the other options, but it has begun to become a problem when teams are going out of their way to pick on him.

The Chicago Bears have Duke Shelley and Kindle Vildor, and it is starting to become a question as to why neither has yet to see the field. Like Graham, Skrine is signed for next year but would save the team $3 million to let him go.

Skrine would cost $6 million to keep. Even Ryan Pace should want to see Vildor or Shelley soon considering he drafted them rather than investing in the offensive line. Still, a new GM has to look at Skrine and think that the savings are worth moving on.

Skrine is going to be playing for a few things. He has to find a way to convince the coaches that starting the young players is a bad idea, he has to try to keep his job next year, and if not, he has to put out a tape that will get someone to take a shot on him. Buster Skrine has a lot to play for.
