Could the Chicago Bears turn back to the Chiefs organization for Mike Borgonzi?

If the Chicago Bears let Ryan Pace go, it might be possible that the Bears organization doubles down on their Kansas City Chiefs hires. If the team were to pull Mike Borgonzi away from the Chiefs, that would be a huge hire. Borgonzi is a frontrunner for many teams as a future general manager.

As of right now, Borgonzi is the Chiefs’ Director of Football Operations. Should he become the Bears’ new general manager, it is possible that Matt Nagy stays on as the head coach. I am not sure many fans would like this move, but it is a possibility since the two are familiar with one another. The other option here is for the Bears to give Nagy the boot and bring in the Chiefs current offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy instead. Fans should get excited if that happened.

Borgonzi has learned from not only Brett Veach, but also Eric Ballard who is now the general manager of the Indianapolis Colts. Borgonzi is known for his talent evaluation skills and should bring a new perspective as to how the team approaches future drafts. He’d be a welcomed replacement to Ryan Pace.
