Chicago Bears: Madden 21 simulation for Week 13 versus Lions
Chicago Bears vs Lions: Madden 21 prediction for Week 13
The Chicago Bears are currently 5-6 and are in third place in the NFC North. They have lost five games in a row after starting the season 5-1, and their playoff hopes have gotten more glim as the season goes on. After a stretch of facing some of the league’s best teams like the Saints, Titans, and Packers, they are set to face the 4-7 Detroit Lions this Sunday at Soldier Field.
The Bears need to win this game to keep any chance of a playoff berth alive. We simulated the matchup on Madden 21 to see if this was the result, and fortunately, Madden has the Bears winning this one 27-10. A win would feel really nice for a team that seems to have little to no juice left. Although beating a team with a losing record is not the best of feats, it is probably just what the doctor ordered for the Bears. Here are some key stats from the game:
Chicago Bears:
- Mitchell Trubisky – 25/37 completions, 263 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, five carries, 33 yards
- David Montgomery – 17 carries, 89 yards, one touchdown, six catches, 52 yards
- Allen Robinson – five catches, 76 yards, one touchdown
- Darnell Mooney – four catches, 81 yards one touchdown
- Roquan Smith – 13 tackles, one sack, one interception, one tackle for loss
- Eddie Jackson – nine tackles, one sack, one forced fumble
- Khalil Mack – six tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery
- Jaylon Johnson – seven tackles, one interception
Detroit Lions
- Matthew Stafford – 31/45 completions, 302 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions
- D’Andre Swift – 10 carries, 41 yards, seven catches, 54 yards, one fumble lost
- Marvin Jones – 11 catches, 101 yards, one touchdown
- T.J. Hockenson – five catches, 73 yards
- Jarrod Davis – six tackles, one sack, one interception
- Tracy Walker – nine tackles, two tackles for loss
- Trey Flowers – four tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss
- Jeff Okudah – nine tackles, one tackle for loss
If the Bears defense could play like this on Sunday, it would be a welcomed sight after getting torn apart by the Green Bay offense. The Bears forced three turnovers in this simulation, which would be the most all season in real life. Trubisky was good enough to complement the Bears’ superb defensive effort and led the Bears to a convincing victory. This is the type of game the Bears need to play in order to get their momentum back to try to make some sort of last-ditch playoff run.
If the Bears can get their running game to continue its success from last week, the offense could be in for a great day. David Montgomery looked sharp in Green Bay and played well in the Madden sim. I think he is the key to the Bears’ success on offense.
Hopefully, the Bears can get in the win column again after five straight losses. The Lions will not be an easy matchup, as shown in Week 1, but it should be one the Bears can win and must win, in order to keep their playoff hopes alive.
