The Chicago Bears need to clean house

We have discussed this over and over and over again. The Chicago Bears need to clean house. Matt Nagy might be a good coach. Ryan Pace has had success as a general manager. However, both have proven not to be good enough and it is time to move on.

The team also needs to move on from team President Ted Phillips. Just as we have talked about in recent weeks, I do not care if you move Phillips to a non-football role and add a football operations guy, but the days of hiring consultants to help choose general managers and coaches need to be over. This team must find a football guy to handle the football side of things.

We have expressed a few names we would be excited about should the Chicago Bears follow our plan and fire Phillips, Nagy and/or Pace. The Bears must start by removing Phillips from the picture and add a football mind. We even discussed the idea of giving Peyton Manning an opportunity to handle Phillips’ role on the football side. The point here is that any person with football knowledge would be a huge upgrade over Phillips.

What about stealing all Kansas City Chiefs personnel by bringing in Chris Shea to handle the football operations, bring in Mike Borgonzi as the general manager and steal Eric Bieniemy to be the head coach? Right now, cleaning house in the front office needs to be the first step.
