Chicago Bears: Three positives from Sunday’s loss to the Lions
The team is closer to a better draft pick
After two years of not picking in the first round of the NFL Draft, the Bears will finally have a pick in the said round. The Bears are currently slated with the 13th overall pick in 2021, according to Tankathon.
Should the Bears continue this losing streak, the team could be poised to select a top quarterback prospect. Names such as Zach Wilson, Kyle Trask, and Trey Lance are all options. The team could also grab a top offensive lineman with a higher pick.
Of course, no one wants to watch their team lose week after week. The Chicago Bears could try to go for a 9-7 record, and their remaining games make this possible. There’s just a less likely guarantee the team will make the playoffs now, so maybe it’s wiser to prepare for next season and their long-term future instead.
