78. player. OL. Notre Dame. Tommy Kraemer. 819. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

The Chicago Bears need offensive line help. Why not take some more shots at the position? With Sam Mustipher and Alex Bars showing promise, I went back to the school that constantly churns out top offensive linemen — Notre Dame.

Tommy Kraemer would be another interior lineman and he would make a great backup. The offensive line needs depth and Kraemer was a five-star recruit coming out of high school. He is massive at 6’6″ and 319 pounds.

The reason Kraemer is not being touted as a higher pick is that for as great as he is from a  power perspective, he lacks in the mobility department. He might struggle against more athletic, quick guys who might find a gap to sneak past him. However, his wide frame allows him to absorb defensive linemen. You will not see him get blown up and pushed into the backfield like we have seen constantly happening to the likes of Rashaad Coward.
