The Chicago Bears need to do these things to make the playoffs

Finally ending their six-game losing streak, the Chicago Bears handily beat the Houston Texans 36-7. The Bears looked outstanding on both sides of the ball as they shut down star quarterback Deshaun Watson while also rolling on offense all game.

Mitchell Trubisky had arguably his best game of the season completing 72.7% of his passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns. He posted a 129.7 passer rating. David Montgomery had a spectacular game as well running the ball 11 times for 113 yards and a touchdown. The Bears now have two straight games of at least 30 points after only doing that once in the first 11 games.

The defense additionally looked unstoppable. Watson only threw for 219 yards and one touchdown as the Bears defense had them on lockdown all game. They sacked Watson seven times and got a safety with one of those sacks. Mack created the safety and additionally forced a fumble from running back Duke Johnson.

Overall, the Bears had a great game from both sides of the football. They looked the best they have looked all season. Granted, the Houston Texans aren’t a very good football team, but they do have a good offense that is hard to shut down as the Bears did. Additionally, the Bears were expected to lose the game.

At this point, the Bears need to make a decision: should they continue to try and win to make playoffs, or should they lose and go after a new quarterback? Personally, I want them to win and make playoffs, and here’s how that can happen.
