The Chicago Bears have finally ended their six-game losing streak
For the first time in quite a while, the Chicago Bears played a complete game where they were dominant from start to finish. When the Houston Texans pop up on the Bears schedule the Deshaun Watson and Mitch Trubisky comparisons will always be brought up.
That one draft is what is most likely going to end up being the long-lasting legacy of this current regime. If the Bears just chose Watson or Mahomes instead of Mitchell, who knows how different this team would look right now.
At the very least, the Chicago Bears get to celebrate a small victory after their game on Sunday because they outplayed Houston in a big way on Sunday. For the second week in a row, the offense has looked pretty good actually.
Mitch has played well both weeks and it looks like the team has found an identity on offense. The Bears have been running more designed bootlegs for Trubisky and have been using David Montgomery much better.
The offensive line looks to have a little more stability and Sam Mustipher looks like he can be a quality lineman moving forward. It wasn’t just about the offense on Sunday because the defense was playing much better as well.
Having Akiem Hicks back in the lineup is always a big deal for this defense and just looking at the unit’s poor performances without him recently, solidifies just how important that Hicks is to this team.
