Mitch Trubisky just played one of the best games of his Bears career.

Mitch Trubisky was great on Sunday, no doubt. It was one of the best games of his career, he was playing at a very efficient level and was making good throws when he needed to. After the Packers game, it looked like Mitch had lost a lot of confidence, but his two games since then have been very solid, if not great.

The Chicago Bears offense has looked so much better since Mitch took over for Nick Foles. With the Bears still right in the mix for a wild card spot, Trubisky should absolutely be the starter from here on out if he can remain healthy.

Bill Lazor seems to have a better understanding of what Mitch does, and does not, do well because these last two games have been very promising for the fourth-year QB. The Bears have been utilizing Mitch’s running ability, which is also his best quality, much better these past few weeks.

By no means does this undo the three years of mediocrity for Mitch but for someone who has always said the right things off the field, and always puts the team first, it’s hard not to root for Mitch. With the Bears having already declined his fifth-year option this is most likely looking like a tryout for a new team over these last few games, here’s to hoping nothing but the bust for Trubisky.
