Chicago Bears: 5 Landing spots for Khalil Mack if the Bears trade him
By Braden Fogal
The Chicago Bears trade Khalil Mack to the Tennessee Titans.
The Chicago Bears would likely receive a phone call from Mike Vrabel and the Tennessee Titans if Khalil Mack hit the trade market. The Titans are a team that hasn’t been able to pressure the quarterback all season and with Jadeveon Clowney out for the year and hitting free agency, a deal involving draft picks and some of Tennessee’s young talent on defense could present an opportunity for the Bears.
Tennessee would give up its first-round pick in this deal, but the Titans are a team that can afford it. Now, they have names like Corey Davis and Jonnu Smith hitting free agency that they may or may not resign, but a team built around Derrick Henry and an aging Ryan Tannehill could go all-in for a Super Bowl run next season.
If you’re going to go all-in on a defensive player that could change the course of a football game, it’s Khalil Mack, who seems to fit the kind of player Vrabel would love on his team. Placing Mack alongside Jeffery Simmons would spark interest for any Titans fan. For Bears fans, getting an extra first-round pick could go towards a quarterback of the future or helping out the offensive line.
Chicago drafted well when selecting Cole Kmet and Jaylon Johnson in the second-round of the 2020 rookie draft. If the front office can continue that trend, Mack to the Titans could result in a nice return of draft picks.
