Where will the Chicago Bears fall in the 2021 NFL Draft?

Heading into Week 14, the Chicago Bears were sitting with the 13th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, the team decided to finally put together an impressive scoring day as they dominated the Houston Texans by winning 36-7. With back-to-back games of 30 or more points, the Chicago Bears offense finally looks to be putting some things together. That said, both defenses they faced (Lions and Texans) were towards the bottom of the league.

By winning the game on Sunday, the Chicago Bears improved their 2020 record to 6-7 on the year. The team is now in limbo as they are only one game out of the playoffs but also have moved from 13th in next year’s draft to now 15th overall. Those two spots could matter as we see drafts where the Chicago Bears miss out on guys like Aaron Donald and Quenton Nelson by a pick or two. Could the team find itself finishing 8-8 again this year? Yuck.

I am honestly hoping they make a push for the playoffs. Not that I believe they have a shot at winning a Super Bowl, but anything is possible once the playoffs start. Having meaningful football in December is a good thing for Bears fans and something we could use during this pandemic-riddled season. At this point, I want as much positivity to finish out the year as possible and then kickstart 2021 too. Not to mention, the 2021 NFL draft class is filled with quality offensive tackles and quarterbacks — the two biggest positions of need.
