The Chicago Bears will finally bring in another wide receiver through free agency

Keelan Cole

Keelan Cole is an upcoming free-agent at the end of this season. Cole is only 27 years old and is in the middle of his athletic prime. He’s having himself a pretty decent year in Jacksonville and maybe looking to find a new home in 2021.

Cole signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free-agent in 2017 and has been with the team ever since. 2020 has been a minor breakout year for the young player and he’s probably looking to find himself on the receiving end of a decent payday this upcoming offseason.

As I said at the beginning of this article, Chicago doesn’t have much money to play with this offseason. Lucky for them, Cole won’t be commanding top of the line type of money. While he has been productive this season, he doesn’t have a very long history of it.

I think it would be smart for the Chicago Bears to offer Cole a two or three-year deal around 10 to 12 million total. Cole may or may not take this but based on his production I think it is a fair offer. Cole may be looking for more of a long-term deal but I don’t know how many teams will be willing to offer that type of money for someone who has really had one good year.
