Germain Ifedi Ι OL

When it comes to versatility, some would say Germain Ifedi has that ability. He can play both offensive guard and offensive tackle. The problem is, he does not do either one particularly well. He is a jack of all trades, master of none. This is not something the Chicago Bears can deal with once again in 2021 and therefore Ifedi has to go.

To start the year, Ifedi looked solid playing right tackle. Had James Daniels not gotten injured and placed on injured reserve, who knows if Ifedi would have held up better. His Pro Football Focus grade is down to 64.4. This is meh and he should be easily replaceable in 2021.

In fact, the Chicago Bears should look to both the 2021 NFL Draft and free agency to bring some stability and more importantly, skill to this offensive line. Charles Leno and Bobby Massie might not be free agents next year, but one, if not both, should be gone anyway. The draft is very deep at offensive line next season to go along with quarterback. The Bears have a big need for both. Nothing Ifedi does to finish out the year is enough to convince me to keep him on this roster.
