Rashaad Coward Ι OL
If there was ever a time to cut and move on from Rashaad Coward it was a full season ago. Coward has proven he cannot be a viable option at offensive guard or offensive tackle. The shift from a defensive tackle to the offensive side of the ball experiment has failed miserably for the Chicago Bears.
Moving on from Coward might be the easiest choice to make in 2021 and quite frankly I’d be cutting him now, or tomorrow, or any other day that ends in the word day. He just needs to be gone. He has given up three sacks and committed two penalties while only playing on offense in five games this season.
That does not even compare to the number of times he has been blown up and allowed a defender to push his way into the backfield. He even let a field goal get blocked in the Lions game. In fact, his Pro Football Focus grade is a lousy 46.2. I would not be surprised if I could have the same or better grade if I were to walk into practice and play versus the Vikings on Sunday.
