Darnell Mooney is continuing his promising season for the Chicago Bears

Stud No. 2: Darnell Mooney

Darnell Mooney has been somewhat of a regular on these lists in 2020. Robinson is no doubt the number one target, as he should be, but Mooney is becoming a very solid number two receiver. The Bears have themselves a pretty solid set of offensive weapons and the team seems to be finally realizing their offensive potential.

Mooney had himself another really solid game and catching another touchdown bringing his total to four on the season. Mooney caught 4 catches, for 49 yards, and that touchdown I just mentioned.

Mooney has had quite a few games with a very similar stat-line as this one. He still hasn’t gone over 100 yards this season but will have a couple more chances of achieving that milestone. It seems like only a matter of time before he does finally get over the hump, especially with how well the offense has played in recent weeks.

Mooney’s career is only getting started and I think he is set up with a very positive career trajectory. I’ve said in the past that I don’t know if he will ever become a number one option on the team, but I fully expect his role to grow bigger in the future, starting with 2021.
