1. David Montgomery

For as good as Mitch Trubisky has been, it is almost impossible to deny that David Montgomery has been the horse that is carrying this offense. After going the entire season without hitting triple digits, he has done it three times in the past five weeks and hit 95 against the Jags. Six of his seven touchdowns have come after the bye week.

It helps to have a quarterback who can move, unlike Nick Foles. That helps the run game inherently. It also helps to see Mustipher take a step at center, and Cody Whitehair excel at guard. The two have helped open lanes that previously did not exist.

Of course, the schedule helps. Still, David Montgomery is balling. He makes defenders miss, he sheds off tackles, and he even has shown the breakaway ability that he has never really had.

Mitch Trubisky and his ascension have been great, but the key has been getting David Montgomery going. With this run game, a lot of things can open up on offense.
